A Super 8 Wedding Film in Los Angeles

Isabel and David got married in Los Angeles and this wedding was 1000% designed by them, for them.

The intimate ceremony at the Old Brown House had a dreamy, almost Elvis-like quality – it's the kind of venue that feels like it exists slightly outside of time. Then the couple was whisked away by red convertible to their reception at Permanent Records, where the bride arrived in custom blue eyeshadow and the groom in a stunning embroidered suit by Jaime Custom Tailoring. From there the night took on a life of its own – tinsel, a cherry-adorned cake, and a room full of their closest people ready to absolutely celebrate.

I'll be honest – I experimented with a few different lighting approaches for this one given how beautifully dark the reception space was, and I had no idea what I was going to get back. When the film came in, my jaw hit the floor.

That's the magic of Super 8. The grain, the warmth, the way real film holds light in a room like that – it has a power that never stops surprising me. This is exactly the kind of nostalgic, vintage-inspired wedding film I live to make.
