What should I wear?
Your photos are about you, so it is definitely most important that you feel comfortable and like the way you look. If you are still having trouble, it's okay to stick to neutral colors. Stay away from distracting patterns, bold prints, or colors too close to your natural skin tone. There are exceptions to each of these "rules," so just do you! If you have any lingering questions we can go over it in our consultation.
What if my kids have a melt down?
Then they are 100% normal. I actually get more concerned when kids do every single thing their parents ask. Kids are my favorite kind of people. They are who they are and they let me be who I am. It is in those curious moments where they aren't thinking about being photographed that magic happens. I promise.
When do I receive my images?
I always try to deliver galleries within 2 weeks.
How many images do we get?
Typically, 75+.
Do you have a location in mind?
We will talk about this and figure out the best fit for your family and situation. Sometimes in-home sessions work best (especially for newborns), but I have tons of outdoor ideas depending on your vibe. I also have an indoor studio in the East Village.
What if the weather is bad?
I always try to embrace whatever is happening. That being said, my ultimate goal is that you are comfortable. So yes, I try to be accommodating for situations that are out of your control.
Can we bring our dog / pet?
That's a hard YES! Pets make everything better.
Do you travel / what is your travel fee?
Of course! New places are always so inspiring. If you are more then 30 miles outside of Des Moines, send me your location info and I'll get you a quote!
